About the origin of the Hypnusic approach
This page outlines the professional, clinical, and academic background behind the development of the Hypnusic platform and its hypno-sedative musical approach.
Music therapist and composer (SABAM), a profession I have practiced with passion for nearly 40 years.
A pioneer of music therapy in Belgium, I was not initially destined for this path. A personal family event in the late 1980s led me toward this avant-garde therapeutic approach.
I resumed studies in various disciplines and became a certified music therapist. After years of clinical practice, I was invited in the late 1990s to work as a trainer in Belgium and France.
A few years later, I joined the teams of Professor Faymonville and Professor Vanhaudenhuyse, collaborating on several projects within the Interdisciplinary Center for Algology at the University Hospital of Liège and the Sensation & Perception Research Group, GIGA Consciousness, University of Liège.
In the early 2010s, I created a two-year music therapy training program through HEPL at Forma+, which is now accredited by ARES.
Throughout my career, I developed a specific technique and composed music for musical hypnosedation. This approach is now used in several European countries.
This background informs the clinical rigor, ethical framework, and independent editorial positioning of the Hypnusic platform.
